As part of the TESCOM 44-1100 Series, this regulator utilizes a spring-loaded, piston-sensed design to reduce high inlet pressure to a stable and adjustable downstream pressure while maintaining excellent pressure control and shut-off performance. The self-venting feature automatically relieves excess downstream pressure to atmosphere whenever the outlet pressure setting is reduced, providing enhanced operational safety and simplified pressure adjustment. The regulator is suitable for clean, dry, non-corrosive gases and is widely used in gas distribution systems, calibration equipment, analytical instrumentation, laboratory gas supply, and high-pressure pneumatic systems.

Working Principle
High-pressure gas enters the regulator through the inlet port and flows toward the valve assembly. The outlet pressure is controlled by balancing the spring force, adjusted through the top adjusting screw, against the downstream pressure acting on the piston. As the downstream pressure reaches the desired set point, the valve modulates automatically to maintain a constant outlet pressure. When the outlet pressure setting is reduced, the internal self-venting mechanism opens to release excess downstream pressure to atmosphere until the newly selected pressure is achieved.
