The valve is designed for demanding industrial applications where high relieving capacity, reliable operation, robust construction, and dependable pressure protection are required. LESER Series 457 operates using a direct spring-loaded mechanism, where the process pressure acts on the valve disc and a calibrated spring provides the closing force. When the system pressure reaches the predetermined set pressure, the valve automatically opens and releases the excess medium, reducing the system pressure to a safe level. When the pressure falls to the specified reseating pressure, the valve closes again to maintain system integrity.

Operating Principle
The Series 457 remains closed during normal operating conditions because the spring force is greater than the opening force generated by process pressure.
When the pressure increases and reaches the specified set pressure:
Process Pressure ↑ → Set Pressure Reached → Disc Lifts → Valve Opens → Excess Pressure Released → Pressure Decreases → Valve Reseats
