The FIELDVUE DVC2000 utilizes advanced digital control technology to continuously monitor valve position and automatically adjust the actuator pressure, minimizing hysteresis, deadband, and positioning errors. This results in improved control accuracy, faster process response, reduced process variability, and longer valve service life.
Communication is provided through the industry-standard HART® protocol, enabling remote configuration, calibration, diagnostics, and performance monitoring using compatible asset management software or HART communicators. The built-in diagnostics allow maintenance personnel to identify valve performance issues before they lead to unexpected process interruptions, supporting predictive maintenance programs.
The controller is designed for single-acting pneumatic actuators and provides a maximum pneumatic output pressure of 7 bar (101 psig). It accepts a standard 4–20 mA DC control signal from DCS, PLC, or other process controllers and accurately regulates the actuator air pressure to maintain the required valve position.
The enclosure is manufactured from A03600 low-copper aluminum alloy, providing excellent corrosion resistance, durability, and suitability for harsh industrial environments. Standard M20 electrical cable entries simplify field wiring while maintaining environmental protection.
The DVC2000 operates reliably over an ambient temperature range of −40°C to +80°C, making it suitable for outdoor installations and demanding industrial applications in the oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, chemical processing, and water treatment industries.
