Working Principle

VEGAPULS 67 transmits radar signals toward the surface of the bulk material. The signal is reflected from the material surface and returned to the sensor. The electronics calculate the distance based on the radar signal’s travel time and convert it into a continuous level measurement.

Because the measurement is non-contact, the sensor is not directly exposed to the abrasive or dusty product, which can significantly reduce maintenance requirements
