Operating Principle
The Coro-Vane® pump uses a rotating rotor fitted with sliding vanes inside a precision-machined pump chamber.
As the rotor turns:
- The vanes slide outward and maintain contact with the pump chamber.
- Fluid is drawn into the suction side as the pumping chamber volume increases.
- The trapped fluid is carried around the chamber by the rotating rotor.
- As the chamber volume decreases, the fluid is displaced toward the discharge side.
- This produces a continuous and controlled positive-displacement flow.
This design is particularly useful for liquefied-gas transfer, where maintaining reliable liquid flow is important.
