Operating Principle

The AC700 features two inlet sides connected to two separate gas sources or cylinder banks. When the pressure on the active supply side decreases to the specified changeover threshold, the system automatically switches to the other gas source.

Typical changeover examples include:

  • 10 bar outlet configuration: changeover when pressure falls below approximately 15 bar
  • 15 bar outlet configuration: changeover when pressure falls below approximately 20 bar
  • 20 bar outlet configuration: changeover when pressure falls below approximately 25 bar

This automatic changeover function allows the gas supply to continue without requiring the operator to stop the process to replace or switch an empty gas source.

Construction Materials

For the AC700S configuration, the body is manufactured from Stainless Steel 316L. Major internal components, including the main valve and valve spring, are also available in stainless steel construction.

The standard diaphragm is 316L stainless steel, while Hastelloy-C22 is available as an optional material for applications requiring enhanced corrosion resistance. The standard valve seat is Teflon, with other seat materials available depending on the configuration.
