Working Principle

The sensor transmits high-frequency 80 GHz radar pulses toward the surface of the measured material. The signal is reflected from the material surface and received by the sensor. The electronics calculate the distance based on the time taken for the radar signal to travel to the surface and return.

The measured distance is then converted into a level value based on the configured tank or vessel dimensions.
