Unlike conventional spring-loaded relief valves, the 3800 Series uses a pilot control valve to actuate the main valve, allowing the valve to remain tightly sealed up to the set pressure while delivering high relieving capacity, minimal product loss, and excellent blowdown performance.

    • As system pressure decreases, the pilot repressurizes the dome, causing the main valve to reseat tightly.
