The valve continuously monitors the downstream pressure through an impulse connection. If the pressure rises above the calibrated shut-off setting due to regulator failure or any abnormal operating condition, the valve automatically trips and completely shuts off the gas flow within less than one second. After the fault has been identified and corrected, the valve must be manually reset, ensuring that the system cannot be restarted until it is safe to do so. The MVB/1 MAX is suitable for natural gas, LPG, and other dry, non-aggressive gases used in industrial and commercial combustion systems.
